During the period from January to May, Yunnan Province's farm produce export value hit US$330 million, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 27.2%. Yunnan exported 31,000 tons of tobacco and related products in the first five months of 2009, up 29.5% year on year, while export value surged 88.6% from a year earlier to US$120 million. Belgium, Malaysia and the Philippines are the major export destinations. Vegetable exports reached 80,000 tons and realized sales value of US$67.26 million from January to May, increasing 40.4% and 20.2%, respectively. Major export destinations include Thailand, Malaysia, Italy and Japan. Tea exports rose 26.7% to 1,886 tons in the first five months, and export value hit US$4.79 million, up 20.1% from the previous year. In the period from January to September, the real estate developer's contracted sales area was around 4 million square meters, whereas its sales area was 2.71 million sq m in 2008. Its contracted sales revenue was HK$38.47 billion, much higher than HK$26.61 billion the firm earned in the same period of last year. The decline is 8.7 percentage points less than in the first ten months of this year. During the first 11 months, central government-controlled enterprises realized a combined RMB 855.57 billion in profit, 1.1% more than in the same period of last year, while locally-administered state enterprises saw profit fall 8.9% from a year earlier to RMB 333.41 billion. The combined operating revenue of the SOEs was RMB 20.14 trillion in the 11 months of this year, up 3.7% year on year. The executive director of CPC's lubricant department said that the firm will shut down three plants before 2015, a refinery with a daily refining capacity of 220,000 barrels in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, an ethylene plant with annual output of 500,000 tons and a plant for lubricant production. On Jun. 2, the oil and gas developer announced that it will spend NT$46.1 billion for refining and output expansion before the end of 2012. The firm will spend NT$30 billion for the cracking of heavy oil and will build a plant worth NT$6 billion to reduce sulfur content to below 10 ppm (part per million). China Resources Gas to buy controlling stake in Wuhan TongbaoPublished: 13 Jan 2009 00:00:00 PSTJan. 13, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China Resources Gas Group Ltd<1193>, formerly known as China Resources Logic Ltd, plans to buy a 51% stake in Wuhan Tongbao Natural Gas Development Co Ltd for RMB 265 million in a bid to expand its natural gas business in Chinese mainland, sources reported. Kileen Holdings Ltd, a wholly-owned unit of China Resources Gas, has agreed to buy the stake in Wuhan Tongbao, which is principally engaged in natural gas business in Wuhan, Hubei province. After the deal, Wuhan Tongbao's registered capital will also be increased from RMB 51.3 million to RMB 100 million. However, it is still subject to the regulatory approval.China Resources Gas, wholly-owned by China Resources Enterprise, is principally engaged in natural gas business in urban cities, such as Suzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu and Amoy.
